This device was created by Puma's advertising agency, J. Walter Thompson New York, with some help from a NASA robotics engineer and a group of MIT students.

 It's equipped with nine downward-facing infrared sensors that can track straight or curved lines on the ground. With some help from an Arduino microcontroller and a 9-axis accelerometer, it can zip along a running track while following one of the existing lane-marking lines, making 100 steering adjustments a second to stay on target.

Puma hasn't stated a maximum speed, but it can match Usain Bolt's 100-meter dash world record of 44.7 km/h (27.4 mph).

Firefighters have been using thermal imagining cameras since the 1990s, and the reason is clear: One of a their greatest challenges can be visibility through smoke, and thermal imaging lets them see in a different way. But these cameras have always been independent units that added pound or two to a firefighter's helmet.

That's what makes the Scott Sight, the new firefighting mask developed by Tyco International, so remarkable. By placing the thermal imaging inside the mask, they've given firefighters greater accessibility to cameras without adding weight.

A firefighter wearing the Scott Sight, announced at the Fire Department Instructor Conference in Indianapolis, will have in the bottom right of their field of vision a thermal image of their immediate surroundings. This will free up both hands for other things and allow smoother operation in dark areas.

BMW has introduced consumer virtual reality technology into its vehicle development process. Instead of needing expensive specialized facilities to use VR technology, the automotive giant is taking advantage of the HTC Vive's impressive capabilities for fast-turnaround interior modeling feedback.

Once potential modifications or new designs have been CAD modeled, designers are able to sit in a reusable interior assembly which makes what they're seeing through the VR headset feel real, while precisely channeled engine and road noise round out BMW's attempts to immerse testers in a life-like environment. 

Currently, the Vive headset is coupled with HTC's laser-based Vive Lighthouse tracking system covering 5 x 5 meters (16 x 16 ft), while graphics are run smoothly at 90 frames per second thanks to Epic Games' Unreal Engine 4.

Hackers Hack the Pentagon

                                     Pentagon Invites Hackers

The Pentagon is about to pay hackers to hack into Government security systems.
The U.S. Department Of Defense announced it's plan to launch the first ever "cyber bug bounty program.

The so-called hacker program will allow vetted hackers to find weaknesses in the department's public website, applications, and security systems. Participants could win money and recognition for their work.

Participants in Hack the Pentagon program will be required to register and submit to a background check. Once vetted the hackers will  participate in a controlled, limited duration program that will allow them to identify the holes in a predetermined network system. 

Huawei Watch

• The Huawei Watch is a brand new smartwatch made from Swarovski jewelry. There are two versions of the watch. The Elegant and The Jewel, which will start selling in early 2016. 

• The Jewel watch will cost $599 and the Elegant will cost $499. The watches will run Google's Android Wear Software. These watches are aimed mostly towards women. 

• The watches are made up of 68 Swarovski zirconia crystals that surrounds its 42-mm body. The watch is always on low power mode until you tap on the screen which will then light up and go into full power mode.
